[Review] KTM LC8 Water Pump Complete Kit by CJ Designs

After noticing a sludge-like fluid in my coolant reservoir, I knew something wasn’t operating correctly on my KTM 990 Adventure. After doing some research, I concluded that the culprit was likely the OEM shaft in my water pump that was creating the issue. The OEM shafts are prone to failure and so I chose to replace my OEM shaft with CJ Designs’ water pump kit which includes a hardened and coated, more durable shaft.

The KTM LC8 Water Pump Complete Kit by CJ Designs not only ensures you’re fixing problems with better solutions, the shaft is also warrantied up to 3 years or 36,000 miles. With CJ using this exact shaft in his motorcycle, you are sure to trust that it is a better option than the OEM shaft.

Some of the highlights of the kit contents include: new seals, a new impeller, new bearings, and a new shaft. CJ never sets you up for failure when sending products and so for the most part you will always have what you need sent to you unless he says otherwise. Wandering endlessly through the hardware store for very random parts is not something you will have to do when you are working with CJ’s kits.

After replacing my shaft (I should’ve but didn’t replace bearings because of time), I have yet to have any issues. I’m confident that the new shaft will hold up to many miles ahead.

Whether you need a water pump rebuild kit or footpeg extensions, CJ Designs pays close attention to detail when creating his products. They are not only built with high quality materials, they are built to last. If you have never rebuilt your water pump on your KTM LC8 engine I would highly recommend doing so and replacing your stock parts with CJ Designs. They wont let you down when you need them most!
