[Review] Sleepin’ on a cloud: The Down Pillow by Therm-a-rest

Do you love sleeping outside but hate the way your neck and back feel when you wake up from a not-so-great night of sleep? It is 2016 people and times are changing. I now have the most comfortable sleep system I’ve ever experienced thanks to Therm-A-Rest. A majority of that comfort comes from the Down Pillow made by Therm-A-Rest

While it’s not the most lightweight or packable pillow I’ve ever had, it is by far the most comfortable pillow I’ve ever used. I will easily sacrifice whatever I need to sacrifice in order to have this kind of comfort with me on whatever adventure I may be on (I’m usually not too worried about weight).

The design of this down pillow is really neat in the fact that you can easily add extra gear or clothing to the bottom of the pillow to make it more/less firm. I prefer a moderately firm pillow so I used my extra down layer as a source of added firmness.

The down is a 650 fill Nikwax Hydrophobic down meaning that it dries 3 times faster than untreated down, maintains loft 30 times longer, and absorbs 70% less water. This is perfect in case Cally ever wants to use my pillow—she is a big-time drooler.

The exterior of the pillow is a very soft and comfortable brushed polyester. If you need to up your outdoor sleep system game, let this be a huge player! The Down Pillow by Therm-A-Rest will ensure you’re sleeping sound on the ground!
