[Review] Steering Brace by Dodge Off Road for Dodge Ram 3500

The time finally came to upgrade some steering parts on our tow vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500.  To tighten up the steering, I went with a Steering Brace by Dodge Off Road paired with a Steering Gear Box from Red Head.  Not only did adding the brace and new gear box tighten up the front, I have a piece of mind knowing the support is solid and won’t be afraid of problems on long road trips.

The install was extremely easy and the brace bolts into pre-existing holes used for the steering box as well as under the sway bar. After removing the nut on the pitman arm you install their longer shaft that connects into the grease-able bearing marrying everything together. This gives the front end a very solid feel and really brings new life to the pickup.

Pros

  • Well built
  • Tubing instead of angle
  • Great customer service
  • Easy to install
  • Grease zerk to ensure upkeep for miles and miles to come

Cons

  • Came with an updated bracket but didn't send with updated instructions. I was quite confused and thought I had the wrong parts until I was able to get ahold of them
