[Review] Terramar Thermawool

A recent favorite mid-layer of mine is the Thermawool Full Zip by Terramar. Not only is it very stylish, it is functional for many different occasions and is 30% Merino Wool. The Thermawool Full Zip is very soft against the skin and is a great weight to wear either as a base layer or mid-layer.

The breathability of the Thermawool is superb and while I’m touring up in the backcountry, it works to pull moisture away from my skin. The integrated Climasense technology ensures that the Thermawool will keep you warm when you’re cold and cool you down with you’re hot.

Because of the integrated merino properties and the Climasense technology, this mid layer will not only dry quickly and wick moisture, it also has antimicrobial features, which will keep you smelling fresh throughout the day.

The brushed microfiber inner is super soft against the skin. Whether you’re using the Thermawool as a base layer or mid layer, it’s going to keep you warm, allow for ample breathability, and keep you looking good.

The pockets are simple zip closures. I really like the higher chest pocket, however, with a backpack on the pockets on the Thermawool become unusable. Not the end of the world, just something worth mentioning.

The Thermawool by Terramar will quickly become your go-to mid layer for any adventure or occasion.   It’s soft like a blanket, but functional like a mid layer piece. Wear it as a base layer for your day of skiing and then unzip it a bit for some après ski and the ladies will be all over you and your little patch of chest hair poking out from your unrecognizable “base layer.”
