[Review] The Dakar Pro Glove by Klim

If you want the ultimate off-road glove whether you’re riding a dual sport bike or dirt bike, look no further than the Dakar Pro by Klim. Amazing durability, combined with strategic venting makes this a comfortable glove for mild to hot temperatures. The padded fingers and knuckles make for a softer landing if you should go down.

Developed with Poron® XRD™ padding on the knuckles, wrist, and fingers, ensure that in an impact situation, the majority of the top of your hand is going to be protected. With the protection, the Dakar Pros still feel like a relatively lightweight glove that is not overly bulky.

The combination of leather and perforated leather means both durability and optimal venting when you’re in the really hot temps. It’s a soft enough leather that feels good when you first put it on but not overly soft to compromise durability.

One big change that I love that Klim did from the Adventure Glove to the Dakar Pro glove is the Velcro wrist strap. On the Adventure Glove it is an extremely stiff strap that is annoying and easily digs into your wrist. I’m glad they changed that from one model to the next as it is way more comfortable!

My hand was in-between sizes and so I sized down. They are a little bit tight and feel as though I could have more comfortably sized up, however I do like my gear pretty tight.

The Dakar Pro glove by Klim will keep your hand temperature regulated and provide ultimate protection while being a comfortable glove that won’t restrain your natural hand/finger movements. I personally pair the Dakar Pro glove with the Induction Glove for road riding, if in warm conditions. In colder temperatures, I pair them with Element Glove long. With Klim products, I know that I am getting products that are produced with high quality and durable materials that are going to stand up to anything I can throw at them as well as be comfortable right out of the box. I trust my hand protection to Klim gloves whether I’m riding strictly off-road or a mix of dual sport.
