[Review] The Induction Glove by Klim

If you’re heading out for a trip in a warm climate or if you’re strictly riding in warm climates, the Induction Glove by Klim should be your go-to glove for dual sport riding.   While the Induction will provide safety when you’re cruising at 70 down the highway, it allows for plenty of airflow if you’re taking a short cut through dirt.

The Induction’s are a very comfortable glove and don’t take anytime to break in. I took these as well as Klim’s Dakar Pro Glove on a 3,000 mile trip to Baja, Mexico. It was the perfect quiver of gloves for road riding combined with dirt riding. On days that were very dirt specific, I wore my Adventure Gloves. Any days that we would be riding pavement, I’d have my Induction gloves on.

I love the long wrist gauntlet and overall felt more protected from the elements and other things. There are two separate adjustment points, which ensures a precise fit that won’t leave your hand hanging in the event of an accident.

The accordion gussets throughout the fingers/knuckles make for maximum flexibility so you can wear the Induction’s and not feel constrained, even right out of the box which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Adding to the comfort right away, the leather used throughout is extremely soft but not too soft that it feels paper thin and easy to tear. It’s premium grade leather that will last through all of your adventures keeping your hands protected and cool (it’s perforated). The palm construction includes Pittards® Armortan® ceramic-reinforced leather so that in the event of an accident, your palms are entirely protected.

The carbon fiber knuckle impact plate is another added aspect of protection that is not too heavy or bulky resulting in discomfort.

If you’re looking for an amazingly comfortable warm weather riding glove look no further than the Induction Glove. Not only will it protect you when you need it, it will outlast other gloves because of the attention to detail and high quality materials. If you find yourself riding a combination of dirt and pavement, the Induction is a great glove for the mix. The longer gauntlet ensures protection from dirt and debris and allows for a precise and comfortable fit. If you’re looking for a strictly-off road glove be sure to check out the Dakar Pro Glove.
