[Review] The Sticky Rock Approach Shoe by Garmont

If you’re looking for a well-built approach shoe, look no further than Garmont. If you’re looking for an approach shoe/do anything/hiking/casual comfort and stylish shoe, look no further than Garmont’s Sticky Rock. Not only does this shoe look good, it feels good too.

The Sticky Rock is built with classic approach features in mind, but with a lightweight and casual feel. I love the dark grey suede upper with bright green accent points. The inner mesh-like material is super breathable, which I can attest to as I have really sweaty feet.

Another favorite feature of mine is the rubber toe bumper, to avoid those painful accounts with rocks or stumps, and the rand around the toe to ensure a long lasting shoe in even the roughest of terrain. The heel also provides structure and protection.

The Vibram S663 Round Approach outsole was a perfect and dependable outsole decision for this shoe and is what makes it the perfect approach/do-anything shoe. While the rubber is extremely sticky, it is also made up of a more durable rubber so as not to wear out quickly. The tread pattern is developed for versatility—fitting perfectly with the accompanying features of the Sticky Rocks.

If you’re doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that or if you simply want an every day shoe, the Sticky Rock should be on your list of shoes to try out. While it’s comfortable and lightweight, it’s made up of durable materials to last many adventures. You’ll feel good and look good and you’ll stick to whatever surface you’re trying to overcome.
