[Review] Front Disc Guard for KTM/Gas Gas/Husqvarna by Bullet Proof Designs

Don’t get me wrong, getting a new motorcycle is awesome! But I’m not nearly skilled enough to go out with a brand new stock bike with no protection and not break something. Luckily for me, Bullet Proof Designs has everything I need to get my new KTM 300 XC-W protected for the inevitable abuse that I’m going to put it through.

For most all of these parts, protecting them with adequate gear is way more cost-effective than potentially damaging them and having to replace them down the road. Yes, this protection is a bit of an investment up front but it will save you money in the long run.

I have equipped my KTM with many Bullet Proof Designs parts, but this post is dedicated to the Front Disc Guard. Not only is this added protection to prevent your rotor from bending, it’s lightweight and tough. I have taken some hard hits and this guard was unfazed. Cally also has one installed on her Beta and she’s had her Beta for almost 4 years now and.. well if you’ve seen her Beta you know it’s been through some tough times. Her guard is still holding strong and protecting her rotor after some technical miles and rough crashes.

I really dig how this is just a simple one piece guard that bolts on seamlessly to the bike. The install is relatively easy and doesn’t take too much time at all.

The fit and finish of these guards is, by no surprise, outstanding and I feel like Bullet Proof Designs executes these guards so well. In addition to the Front Disc Guard, I also have some Foot Pegs, Radiator Guards, and Rear Disc Guard and Caliper Guard by Bullet Proof Designs. And as if you didn’t need another reason to love them, Bullet Proof Designs products are designed and built in the US. Be sure to check out everything we’ve tried from Bullet Proof here.

*We received this gear for free in exchange for a review, however, it’s important to know that all thoughts are our own.
