[Review] The Cache Gauntlet Gloves by Gordini

If you struggle with cold hands and fingers but like the dexterity that gloves offer, you’re going to want to check out the Cache Gauntlet Gloves by Gordini. They check all the boxes when it comes to the ideal winter glove. They’re extremely warm, comfortable, waterproof, and windproof. My favorite feature about the Cache Gloves? They have leashes!! You can carelessly pop your gloves off on the lift without worrying about dropping them. So amazing.

The Cache Gloves are built with Gordini’s proprietary AquaBloc which ensures waterproofing and windproofing but is also breathable. The glove liners are extremely soft up and cozy against your skin. They’re also built with a moisture-wicking material so if you start to get warm, the moisture won’t stay next to your skin. In addition to the AquaBloc, the Caches are insulated with Primaloft insulation.

The Cache Gloves are made with synthetic leather (and rugged nylon canvas) outer. I’ve never put synthetic leather to the test so I’ll be curious to see how these hold up after a couple of seasons of use. There are reinforcements where you need them most like in the palm, inner thumb and on fingers. Out of the box, these gloves are super supple and flexible, unlike some leather gloves I’ve had that take some time to break in.

As far as sizing goes, if you are in-between sizes, definitely size down. I came in between the small and medium according to Gordini’s size chart and went with the medium. They are definitely too big for me so that’s why I’d recommend sizing down. Also for reference, a size small in unisex Gordini or men’s is also too big for me. Luckily they make women’s specific gloves but I still feel like they run big in general.

If you’re looking for the ultimate gauntlet glove that will keep your hands warm and dry no matter what condition you find yourself skiing or riding in, be sure to check out the Cache Gauntlet Gloves by Gordini. I know that if my hands get cold skiing, it’s a big mood changer. Get warm gloves, ski all day long!
