[Review] The Kingcamp Cot

The foldable and relatively packable KingCamp Cot is not only the most comfortable camping option around for sleeping on the ground, it is also affordable and super easy to use. Not only are you elevated off of the ground several inches, the KingCamp Cot is also designed with an inflatable pad system to provide ultimate comfort.

While this isn’t the lightest and tightest camping cot, for what it is we are very impressed with how small it packs down. It weighs in at 5.8 pounds and packs into a 15×8.2×6.7 inch carrying case. Like I mentioned, it’s not tiny but for the amount of comfort you are receiving, I feel like this is a pretty manageable size. You probably won’t find yourself throwing this in your backpack and hiking 30 miles into camp but for car camping and closer excursions, this is the ideal cot to set up under the stars, in your tent, or even at your friends guestroom-less house!

When set up, the KingCamp Cot is a great size. I am 6 feet tall and feel as though I comfortably fit on it. Technically speaking, the cot is 75x25x4.7 inches when set up. The stability is on point throughout the cot and I’ve never felt like I could easily tip over.

The design is definitely where this cot shines and it’s pretty incredible that it’s so simple yet extremely comfortable. The set-up takes less than a minute – be sure to watch the video above to see exactly how it’s done. Again, it’s real simple and easy and takes hardly any time.

I feel as though the KingCamp Cot goes above and beyond from what I’ve seen in cots because not only are you elevated off of the ground, the canvas that you lay on is inflatable for even more comfort. Simply inflate once the pad is set up on the legs and you are ready for the best night of sleep outside that you’ve ever had. The material used to construct the canvas is seemingly durable and also waterproof (yeah, you heard that right).

The only thing that I’m not sure about is the wear that this cot would have on a tent floor overtime. For us, we are using a more traditional camping 3 person tent and I feel as though repetitive sleeping could potentially damage a floor not made to withstand point weight. This hasn’t been the case at all since using and testing the KingCamp but it is just something that I feel like could become an issue.

The other problem with the KingCamp Cot is that you can’t just have one because everyone in your family will always be arguing over it! If you’re looking for the ultimate, foldable and packable, extremely comfortable camping cot, look no further than the KingCamp Cot. As KingCamp puts it, “You can still be close to nature without having to sleep right on it.” This by far will be your most comfortable camp set up to date.
