[Review] The Pro-X Compression Shirt by G-Form

These days I need all the protection I can get during my action sports endeavors. I wouldn’t say I’m bad, I just take more risk than some people. I’m not always making the best decisions on my bike or skis, but one decision that I have made right recently is wearing the Pro-X Compression shirt by G-Form underneath my jersey or ski layers. It’s a ton of added protection where you need it but without the bulk.

I’m about 6 feet tall and weigh 200 pounds and the large fits me really well. It’s a tight fit, which I would say is how it is designed to be. I like the tight fit because I can easily layer up over the shirt without any discomfort. With a tighter fit, it also keeps the pads in place. It’s crazy that I can hardly feel the pads when I’m out doing my thing, which is what makes G-Form so great. There is absolutely no bulk and hardly any added weight. While it is just a little bit warmer than wearing nothing obviously, they’ve taken measures to make the shirt as breathable as possible.

Down the side, there are mesh panels that allow for optimal airflow throughout the day. The main material is breathable and also wicks moisture away so you won’t be a sweaty mess at the end of the day. If you prefer to only wear this shirt when you’re out doing your thing, the fabric is UPF 50+ so you don’t have to worry about sun exposure.

If you’re looking for any type of impact protection I would highly recommend G-Form. Their gear is so comfortable, easy to wear, and really works. It’s crazy that such small pads can make (or take) such an impact but I’m not complaining because I don’t like bulk.
