Baja Prep

Getting the bikes ready for Baja is taking us a while.  We hope that by doing some preventative maintenance we will have fewer problems in the middle of the desert.

Meeting Woody and hearing his story was a huge bonus when we picked up our rebuilt wheels from Woody’s Wheel Works.

The 640 carb rebuild really took it out of me.

We are so happy to have Baja Designs lights installed.  Left is a KTM stock high beam and right is the Squadron by BD.

From CJ Designs, this oil drain kit makes the oil change on the 990 fast and easy.

We’ve installed the Garmin Zumo on Tyson’s bike for navigation and we’ve been working on our route.

We’ve been working on our route planning lately.  So much good input from guys and gals over at Adventure Rider.  We’d love to hear about any must-sees, must-dos, must-eats, if ya have any.

We will post up a tentative route soon but we know it is sure to change!  We will also be traveling through Baja during the time of the Baja 1000 pre-running dates so that is one thing we are contending with.  We don’t want to get smoked by a trophy truck!

If you’re interested, see our route post here.
