[Review] Women’s XC Lite Gloves by KLIM

For me to say that I’ve never invested in a good pair of dirt gloves is ridiculous for a couple of different reasons. First of all, lightweight riding gloves for dirt biking are relatively inexpensive, although pretty important. Secondly, not only do they improve comfort, they also improve control. When I was wearing bigger, bulkier dirt gloves, I noticed that I wasn’t easy on the controls and my grip was seemingly all over the place. Not only are Klim’s XC Lite Gloves built and sized for women, but they’re also lightweight and as minimalist as possible. After wearing well-fitting gloves without the bulk, my riding improved and my blister count went down.

I really like the fact that the palm of the XC Lite Gloves are as streamlined as possible. There are no seams that are going to cause pain or discomfort and there are even vent holes throughout the palm to allow for maximum airflow. There is a little bit of grip material throughout the palm although I will say some has already peeled off and it may not be the most resilient material. It is not a make or break for me and with or without, these gloves still perform really well.

I love how well these gloves fit and there is not a ton of extra material at my fingertips like I’ve had with most of my riding gloves. There is a very little bit of TPU protection on the knuckles but I really feel like this will only protect against tiny branches, etc. The XC Lite gloves also have MULT-E-TOUCH™ smart device functionality and I’ve found it to work really well with my touchscreen gps and pretty well with my iPhone. I love that I can easily move the map on my gps around without having to stop and take off my gloves.

I’m a HUGE fan of the slip-on design of these gloves and here’s why – they’re so easy to get on and you don’t have a Velcro flap that will eventually stop velcroing and just start flapping around on your wrist. The slip-on design is truly simple, easy, and adds again to that streamlined design.
