[Review] The Cloud Series by Truewerk

The Cloud Shorts (and pants) by Truewerk are appropriately named. They are comfortable for all-day wear, whether you’re working or playing. I love that these are simple work shorts and they’re not built with bulletproof ballistic nylon material that will protect you from anything you may encounter. For my work, I need lightweight shorts that breathe well and don’t have a lot of frills that are ultimately going to cause chaffing after a long day. These shorts are everything that you need and nothing that you don’t and are superior in the comfort department.

What makes these shorts so comfortable is the waistband which is partially elastic. They just fit so well and are a dialed fit whether it’s the beginning of our busy season or the end. There’s also an internal drawstring and belt loops if you need them. If you have to wear a tool belt this flush waistband won’t get in the way of it.

The fabric Truewerk is using for the Cloud shorts and pants is truly cloud-like and it feels good on no matter what I’m doing. I like how versatile these are and I can wear them every day at work and then every day in the off-season for hiking, camping, or just hanging out on the beach. North Dakota has its fair share of hot and humid days and the Cloud shorts are lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking.

While Truewerk is new to us, I feel like we got a good intro into the gear they offer. Cally tried out the T1 overalls and so we saw a few different options from the brand. If you are looking for a thicker weight work pants but still breathable and great for hot temps, look into the T1 series pieces. If you kneel a lot or find yourself in more abusive environments, those would be a great option as well. Truewerk also offers a wide array of comfortable and durable tops ranging from flannels to sun hoodies. It’s all gear that we can take from work to play and it looks great while doing so. And if you’re out working in the colder temps, they have options for you as well.
