[Review] The GPS Mount for KTM 390/790/890 by Vanasche Motorsports

If you’re planning on mounting a GPS to the stock dash of your KTM 790/890 (or 390), you’re going to want to invest in a mounting system. You certainly could do a DIY RAM mount but as you’ll see, the GPS mount by Vanasche Motorsports is far superior to the RAM DIY mount. Even on smooth pavement, the RAM mount allows the GPS to vibrate. It’s not sustainable and only gets worse off-road.

The Vanasche GPS Mount is made with high-quality aluminum, is super simple to install, and will ensure proper placement of your GPS without excessive vibrations.

This GPS mount is solid and has no rotating or adjustable parts. This is what prevents vibrations. I do wish there was an option to adjust slightly as we all have different preferences for the angle of the GPS. For me personally, with the Garmin Zumo, it covers my TFT display a bit so I can’t see part of my TFT while I’m standing up riding. Again, this may be personal preference and you may not look at your TFT while you’re standing. The angle of the Vanasche mount is the same angle of the TFT display. This will also be dependent on the GPS you mount.

Any GPS with the standard AMPS pattern will mount on the Vanasche Mount. We have Trail Tech Voyager Pros for when we’re sticking more to off-road riding and we could easily mount them to this instead of the Garmin. You can also mount in both landscape and portrait orientations.

If you’re looking for a solid, well-built mount for your GPS, look no further than the Vanasche GPS mount. Not only does it keep your GPS vibration-free no matter the terrain, but it’s also a well-built piece of equipment that will last a lifetime. Even if you swap out your GPS down the road, as long as the GPS mounts with the standard AMPS pattern, your Vanasche mount will still be relevant.
