[Review] The CampFire Table by Primus

I’m not entirely sure how we’ve lived so long without owning a collapsible/foldable camp table, but now that we have the CampFire Table by Primus, we won’t be able to camp without a table ever again. Whether hanging out or cooking outside, having a table is key and we used the CampFire table every day multiple times a day while living out of our van in Baja. It was key for food prep, great as a dining table, and easy to pack as it condenses down into it’s own little less than 4 pound package.

The CampFire table is built with an aluminum frame which helps keep the weight down. The table top folds in thirds, yet is relatively stiff when installed on the frame. We weren’t entirely sure that we would be fans of the fabric cover but it’s actually sweet and very easy to clean. Whenever the table gets dirty, we just spray it down with a hose and it’s back to looking brand new.

Primus states the capacity of around 55 pounds for the table and I never feel like we are pushing that weight limit. You can see in the video that the table easily supports a 4L water jug, and that’s putting all the pressure and weight in one spot.

The overall weight of the CampFire table is a mere 59.9 ounces (3.74 pounds) which is nothing, especially for van travel. This table is even something we plan on strapping to the back of the motos when we head out on dual sport trips. While the table is light, I have to mention that we were camped in a really windy area and it never blew over even if it was just sitting without anything on it. Definitely not a deal-breaker, but I was impressed so thought it was worth mentioning.

Check out the video to see just how easy this table is to assemble and break down and be sure to check out Primus to see many more amazing camp essentials. The CampFire Table is something that will travel with us whether we’re camping in the toy hauler, van, or tent. It’s essential for outdoor camp cooking and eating. Overall

9.9/10

Pros

  • Very easy to set up and breakdown
  • Lightweight and packable and even comes with a nice carrying case
  • Fabric top cleans off really nicely with a simple spray down
  • Major upgrade from using an old bin or water container as an outdoor table
  • Holds a lot of weight for the size of the top

Cons

  • The height is a little short to prep food standing, though we knew the dimensions going into this table so it shouldn't really count as a con
