[Review] The New Frontier 2N1 Shorts by Saxx

I’m always happy to try new shorts, especially when they have surprises like a built-in BallPark Pouch. That’s right the Saxx New Frontier 2N1 Shorts not only fit great but they cradle my balls like the hands of an angel. No more worrying about chafed legs and burning sensations (at least not from my balls).

The New Frontier shorts have stretch built into them and I’ve found they are perfect for hiking, climbing, or even wearing to dinner (did I mention they look great). I don’t feel like a dirtbag who just got off the trails but more of a sophisticated type who could be mistaken for someone with a regular J.O.B. Don’t be fooled though, these should be in every van dwellers wardrobe.

Besides the amazing stretch that leads to an extremely comfortable pair of shorts, the built-in liner is a game-changer. I don’t have to think about what underwear to pair with my shorts since they are built right in. My shorts never fall off (unless they are sized slightly large like the 34) as they are sewn right into the liner which is tight-fitting. I love that I don’t need to wear a belt to keep these up and I can depend on them for all-day comfort.

The only drawback with the underwear being sewn directly in is the fact that if you wear the shorts day in and day out you are essentially wearing your underwear day in and day out as well. However, this may be a step in the right direction for those of you that have said adios to the undergarments (hey I’ve been through that stage of my life already).

If you’re on the hunt for shorts that look equally good on the rock, trails, or coffee shop then take a gander at the Saxx New Frontier. They come in three professional colors where you’ll be sure to impress everyone. If you are intrigued by the BallPark Pouch but not down for having the shorts and undies built together, then be sure to check out Saxx Boxers Briefs.

*We received the New Frontier Shorts for free in exchange for a review, however, it’s important to know that all thoughts are our own.

Pros

  • BallPark Pouch is a dream
  • Comfortable but professional looking
  • Stretchy and durable material makes these shorts perfect for any activity
  • Pockets are great especially the zipper pocket on the inside of the hand pocket

Cons

  • If you wear these everyday without washing them, they will start to stink (or at least mine do). Not a huge deal if you have access to wash them.
